Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Patric McGroarty is a multi Juno award winning and multi-nominated audio engineer. Formally trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music and holds a degree in Jazz Performance from Humber Collage, he has been an active member of the music community for 20 years. His works spans everything from solo singer songwriters, symphony orchestras, all the way to the letter “A” and “O” on Sesame Street.
Records he has worked on have been awarded Junos, Canadian Folk Awards and Canadian Latin Music awards.
He has mixed over 1,100 tv shows, 100 live-to-air radio concerts, live streamed over 150 concerts, and played on/ recorded/been involved in some capacity 100+ records.
His understanding of music theory, plus the ability to read orchestral scores, SATB, lead sheets, etc, has proven to help bridge the communicate gap between the musicians, producers and other engineers.
